On July 24th 2010 the two winners of the Garage-Girls Ultimate Biker Makeover were awarded their long list of prizes and were sporting the biggest smiles all day.

Runner up Judy Reed of Battlecreek Michigan was thrilled with all her prizes, when asked what she was most excited about she didn’t know how to answer. “I think maybe the Z1R jacket, or maybe the Wizards cooler filled with cleaning stuff, I just don’t know, I love it all”.   Grand Prize-winner David Bardwell from Texas City Texas, who along with all the riding accessories that Judy scored, was also awarded with components for his 2008 Victory Vegas.  When asked what he was most excited about David answered, “I’m really liking that Mustang seat, and I know my wife is going to be excited about it as well” (more…)

The crew at BAKER Drivetrain is back in Michigan loading the trailer to make the trek for Sturgis in a week or so… and we’re super geared up to leave the Motor City and head for our new temporary home in downtown Sturgis, SD. This year we not only moved for our booth for the week, but also the Smoke-Down Showdown competition!

The 2010 Legends Ride to Kick off the 70th Annual Sturgis Rally

It’s that time of year again! Registration is open for the 2010 Legends Ride. Celebrities, the nation’s top bike builders and riders looking to ride for charity will converge in Deadwood August 9 to take part in the 3rd annual Legends Ride. The Legends Ride takes riders from Historic Deadwood to the Legendary Buffalo Chip in Sturgis through the Black Hills of South Dakota. In addition, riders contributions from the Ride will benefit the Children’s Home of the Black Hills and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame. The media is encouraged to come take a ride and cover this beautiful and incredible ride for charity.

TLC is reviving “American Chopper” — with the estranged Teutuls going head-to-head in competing bike shops.

The new show, “American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior,” begins filming next week and will premiere in August.

It focuses both on the original Orange County Choppers business run by Paul Sr., and Paul Jr.’s startup bike shop.

The new shop, Paul Jr. Designs, is located across from the original OCC shop in Rock Tavern, NY, near OCC’s Newburgh site.

The hook? Father and son haven’t spoken in over a year, ever since Senior fired Junior from the family business. (more…)
