Billy Lane at Philadelphia Bike Show
January 31, 2007
As promised, here is the info from one of our family members about her experience at a recent bike show.
I went to the Philadelphia bike show this past weekend. It was smaller than I expected but there were some very nice bikes there.
I spoke to Dave Perewitz, Biker Billy, High King and Billy Lane. They were all very nice people. Billy Lane was the only one that had a large crowd gathered around and standing in line for his autograph. He had a cooler full of water and that is what he was drinking. He was more subdued than I have seen him in the past but it was still a pleasure to talk to him.
I asked Hugh King if he was going to have Billy back on BBO and he said he would like to but the network won’t touch him. I told him he should let the network know that his fans want him back on the show and that the network should see the crowd gathered around him at the show. I said I hoped the court would take into account the amount of charity work Billy has done and he agreed and said Billy has helped a lot of people. I told him that the accident had changed my life because I will never drink and drive again. He said he has been guilty of it in the past and only by the grace of God that the same thing hadn’t happened to us.
Dave Perewitz gave me a tip on a paint job I am thinking about.
Billy told me he liked my shirt (I had on an Indian Larry t-shirt). I had him sign a copy of the Horse magazine that had him on the cover. I told him I had talked to him at the Smokeout and I noticed he had road rash and wasn’t in a good mood. He said he was standing up on the bike, like Indian Larry, and someone pulled in front of him and he fell off the bike.
I did not hear anyone say anything negative about Billy.
I had a good time!!!!
I will try to send you some pictures of the event later.
Six new Biker Build Offs to premiere on The Learning Channel
January 31, 2007
For immediate release:
Six new Biker Build Offs to premier on The Learning Channel, Thursday, February 8th at 10 p.m.
In its fifth season Biker Build Off returns with six brand new shows which will air on TLC’s “Turbo Thursdays”. The first episode will premier on Thursday, February 8th, 2007 with five more episodes on each Thursday after. The first new BBO pits Gard Hollinger of L.A. County Choprods, Marina del Rey, CA against Jason Hart of Chop Smiths, Indianapolis, Indiana. Each artist designs and fabricates a one-of-a-kind, street legal drag bike in just two weeks. Then they meet on Dead Horse Point in Moab, Utah to ride to Las Vegas, Nevada where they go head-to-head drag race for the Biker Build Off trophy.
The second hour which premiers February 15th will feature Chica of Chica Custom Cycles, Huntington Beach, CA going head-to-head with Michael Barragan of Evil Spirit Engineering, Glendale, CA. Chica designs and fabricates a stretched, 60’s style, laid back cruiser and Michael, a post industrial, futuristic ghetto sled. The two artists meet in Ft. Worth, Texas and ride side by side to the Lone Star Rally in Galveston where thousands vote for the custom motorcycle they like the best.
BBO show number three airing February 22nd will pit Trevelen of Super Co. Customs, Los Angeles, CA against Paul Cox and Keino of the Indian Larry Legacy, Brooklyn, N.Y. Trevelen builds an homage to the Indian Motorcycles of the 40’s and Paul and Keino fabricate an old school, totally hand built, elegantly functional, Indian Larry style bike. Trevelen meets Paul and Keino in Monument Valley, Arizona to ride 800 miles due south to the Sea of Cortez in Puerto Penasco, Mexico.
The fourth brand new BBO airing on March 1st will feature Brian Fuller of Fuller Hot Rods, Atlanta, GA. going head-to-head with Greg Westbury of Westbury Handcrafted Motorcycles, Concord, CA. Brian using mostly Buell parts in a frame of his own design fabricates a modern, high back tire racer. While Greg builds a hot rod motorcycle on a frame reminiscent of a vintage Schwinn. The two artists ride side by side ending at the Northeast Motorcycle Expo in Hartford, Connecticut where the people decide on which bike will take home the trophy.
In BBO number five airing on March 8th Dawn Norakas of Stinger Custom Cycles, Cedar City, Utah will build off against Scott Webster of Leroy Thompson Choppers, Mentor, Ohio. Dawn, who is BBO’s second female builder, designs and fabricates an elegant, gleaming, blue and silver, low slung chopper while Scott makes an industrial, hard core homage to “Road Warrior.” The two artists meet on a bluff overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and ride south through heavy rains to the Easyriders Pomona California Bike Show.
The sixth episode of the new BBO series airing on March 15th will feature Andrew Williams of Departure Bike Works, Richmond, VA going mano-a-mano with James Compton, Boerne, Texas. Andrew builds a Harley based, street legal dragster while James builds a four stacked, Suzuki powered, light weight drag bike dubbed
“Crusher II” . The two builders meet in Louisiana bayou land to ride to the No Problems Raceway in the heart of Cajun country. There they drag race head-to-head for the BBO trophy.

Billy Lane IN Philly
January 31, 2007
Hey,
One of our family members attended a show in Philadelphia. She said the show was smaller than she thought it would be but that Billy Lane was there. She had the opportunity to speak with him briefly and wrote to us about the show and Billy. We will post what she reported tomorrow.
I was surprised because I thought that Billy was not traveling or making appearences as of late.We did hear he was in N.Y. as well but have not confirmed that.I don’t know if I would have the inner strength to do the shows right now so, hats off to Billy. The legal process is supposed to start for Billy next week and we will keep you posted on that.
We are hoping for the best possible outcome there. There has been so much damage done to everyone. We have both the Morelock Family and Billy in our thoughts and hope neither suffers any more than necessary.

The Beachcruiser presents
January 31, 2007
Hey,
It’s only 2 days before we leave for the V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati. We are feeling a little squeezed as we have a lot to do and a lot coming up.I heard from Chad over at Twisted Choppers today. This is the shop out in South Dakota with Jason Kangas, Kai Morrison and their top notch crew. They have agreed to do a podcast interview with me so, that makes three great motorcycle artists we will get up close and personal with shortly after the V-Twin Show.We have Brian Klock and Jerry Covington as soon as time and health permits. Our effort to bring you the great players in the industry would not be what we envision without these three(four) guys. There are many more but we feel we are off to a good start.I plan on asking some people at the V-Twin to interview with us.I will keep those names to myself for now. When the next 3 are complete we will have 14 interviews and about 22 hrs. of great listening available to members of the family jewels. It is exciting to watch your vision come to life and I am fortunate to see it happen.
We will be taking still photos and introducing video when we return from Cincy. This is going to be a great time.We already have plans to meet a lot of our brothers and sisters and share a drink or a meal. It’s hard to squeeze everything in as the event is only two days and covering it and seeing everyone will be tough.Train and I will give it our best shot.We will be telling you about it as it happens.
We have many photos to share with you as Jack McIntyre who is an amazing photographer has agreed to share his work with us and you. Darryl Briggs already does this so, we have two of the best in the business on our team.We also have several family members who will be taking photos and reporting on events they attend.Train and I will of course be doing the same.
This year is going to rock and we will be that much closer to making a dream into reality. We have said from the beginning that we want this to be the very best one stop place for those in the industry and those who love the industry to gather. We are working very hard toward that end.

Hog Wild Movie Trailer
January 30, 2007
Our good friend and sweetheart, Meghan over at Strokers Dallas sent us this trailer for the upcoming movie with Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and William H Macy. Comedies are very tricky to pull off. But this one looks as if it might be watchable.

Biker Build Off 2007 Kickoff
January 30, 2007
BBO 2007 will premier on thursday feb 8th. This is the first episode on Turbo. Turbo was called T.L.C. but now, it belongs to us.
The first show will feature our friend and enormously talented motorcycle artist Jason Hart. He will face off with Gard Hollinger of L.A. County Choprods. The show will be judged as only two before it. The men will compete against each other. We know the outcome but we are sworn to secrecy.
Let’s all get out there/in there and support the show. There are six episodes so far and audience size will have a lot to do with the future of the show. We owe it to Hugh King, the builders, and to ourselves to keep things going.
We will comment here and hope you will too.
