Bike Week 2007 premiers the 1st Annual “Metric Experience”
held in the Destination Daytona March 8th-11th.
Boca Raton, Florida February 23, 2007. M3Pro, the producers of the “Metric Revolution Motorcycle Build Off” on ESPN2, and Wyotech Colleges have partnered together to bring the “Metric Experience” to Destination Daytona during Bike Week 2007 between March 8th-11th..
The “Metric Experience” will offer the metric motorcycle community (Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Triumph, BMW, Ducati and ZongShen) a place to call their own. Daytona Beach, Florida is one of the motorcycling world’s magnet cities and the host of the Bike Week Rally for the past 60 years will gain a new cornerstone attraction after “Metric Experience” makes its debut. Roughly 500,000 motorcycle enthusiasts visit during Bike Week spending approximately $400 million during its 10-day run.
The Destination Daytona location boasts a 150-acre development which includes Bruce Rossmeyers Harley-Davidson, the largest Harley dealership in the world, a 109,000-square-foot facility that will include a motorcycle museum as well as a hotel and condominium village, two restaurants, two bars, more than 30,000 square feet of retail space and the Wyotech Campus. Plans to add a 32,000-square-foot outdoor amphitheater and a 100,000-square-foot convention center next year are already in the works.
The “Metric Experience” will have something for everyone. It will feature live entertainment, including motorcycle stunt shows, the “Brute Horsepower” Dyno Shoot-Out, rider’s skill demonstrations, educational seminars as well as the crowning of Miss BikeWeek.com . To satisfy your hunger after one of our shows or after visiting the 70 plus vendors and Bike Builders, have a seat at our International Food Court or take a walk by our showcase tent featuring custom motorcycles from Season 1 of the ESPN 2 “Metric Revolution Motorcycle Build Off” as well as some of the countries hottest up and coming builders. The producers of “Metric Revolution”, which premiers on March 10th at 11am, and the “Metric Experience” will be combing the crowds on the Wyotech campus during the event to find the countries hottest and most radical builders for Season 2 of ESPN2’s hit new show during their Open Casting Call March 10th.
