Knowledge Coast to Coast
Canton, MA May 7, 2008 - Kryptonite, a brand within the Security Technologies Sector of Ingersoll Rand Company Limited, announces the first three dates of its new Women’s Riding Essentials program. Jody Perewitz and Nicole Hoffman Roesch will share their extensive experience and knowledge with women riders who may just be starting out. The series is for women only and starts in June.
“Kryptonite knows from both published reports and our own experiences on the road, that more women are riding motorcycles than ever before,” said Karen Rizzo, Director of Marketing. “We also understand that these women may be new to riding and have questions or need some advice that they might not want to ask of “the guys.” We have a solution for that with our accomplished women riders, Jody and Nicole, who will share their expertise, tips and general information with these women.”
The first three dates and locations for the Women’s Riding Essentials program are at the following Kryptonite partners:
Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Perewitz Cycle Fabrication in Bridgewater, Massachusetts; www.perewitz.com Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Barb’s Harley Davidson in West Collingswood Heights, New Jersey; www.barbshd.com Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Scuderia West in San Francisco, California; www.scuderia.com All events start at 6pm local time.
Both Perewitz and Roesch will lead the 1-2 hour class. They will talk about their backgrounds and educate the attendees about safety, simple maintenance, riding gear, resources available and security tips. The ladies will be treated to snacks, raffle prizes and receive a certificate at the completion of the event.
“This isn’t about just creating a pink product and hoping women buy it,”
continued Rizzo. “We are offering women the chance to walk into a dealer for the first time and really learn about riding from women with invaluable experience.”
Jody Perewitz
With legendary custom motorcycle builder Dave Perewitz as her father, Jody has been around motorcycles since the day she was born. Jody took to the family business like a fish to water and has had a hand in building numerous motorcycles, most notably her own 1963 Harley Davidson Panhead.
Since she started riding she’s ridden everything from the small 50cc bikes to motorcycles with a suicide shift and everything in between. There aren’t many women in the industry that know more about riding and maintenance than Jody.
Nicole Hoffman Roesch
Nicole is a member of Team Rightsforbikers.com and competes in the SunTrust MOTO-ST series, a national road racing endurance series. Roesch, who has raced for the past 7 years, won the National CCS Ultra Lightweight Superbike Championship in 2004.
