Nothing Wrong With This Website 7-31-08
July 31, 2008
Hey,
Our friend Mark up in Canada ingormed us that Google has a warning about The Beachcruiser. Yes folks, as Roanne Rosanadana used to say “it’s always something”
We have ptretty sophisiticated anti-virus software on our website. It turns out according to the software. ONE PAGE some clown either sent here or was on another website had either spyware or malware on it. We REMOVED the page as soon as we were made aware. The page is GONE. It didn’t harm my computer so: I am very confident it didn’t hurt anyone else. It was a quick fix as we just removed it.
Google put a warning about our site up.They did this without informing us of a problem. The problem is FIXED and GOOGLE takes it’s own sweet time to remove the warning. It’s a joke and they should be ashamed of themselves. They said it could take up to two weeks to remove the warning which is outrageous!!! There isn’t much we can do about it but wait for them to act responsibly. We have written to them. Sorry for the inconvienence but we are very sure that there is NO DANGER to those who come here.

Beach in The New York Times

Beach posted a nice comment on the Harley Davidson story we published a while back. We are reproducing it here for your commentary.
You can read the original article and all of the comments here:

I wrote a long response which the Times did not post. I suppose it was too aggressive. No curse words and no hate, just the facts as I know them.
The Good And The Bad
July 29, 2008
Hey,
The piece we posted from the N.Y. Times on Harley Davidson seems to have gotten a lot of comments. It’s good that close to 300 people expressed opinions and not so good that a lot of them were nasty.Naturally, I had to get my 2 cents in so I wrote a comment too. We’ll post it tomorrow.
Motorcycles and bikers still seem to raise a lot of passion which is good. The fact that the N.Y. Times reports on the industry is good. The nasty comments we’ve all read and heard before. The good ones are always good to read. Welcome to America circa 2008.

If motorcycles generally get better mileage than cars, and if everyone is so concerned about the price of gasoline these days, why are motorcycle sales cratering instead of skyrocketing?
It’s the economy, stupid (with apologies to Bill Clinton).
