MILWAUKEE — Harley-Davidson Inc. said yesterday it will buy Italian motorcycle maker MV Agusta Group for US$39 million plus debt to boost its presence in Europe, giving it entry into the popular performance bike market there. Harley will assume US$70 million in MV Agusta’s existing bank debt. The company makes premium sport motorcycles under its brand and lightweight motorcycles under the Cagiva brand.
