Perewitz Custom Paint Show

August 25, 2008

We had our first Perewitz Custom Paint Show sponsored by Kryptonite in Sturgis this year at Thunder Road. It was a great success. We had about 35 entries and a crowd of spectators all day, which for a first time show was great. All the entries had remarkable paint jobs. Rick Fairless had some of his creations on display. As most of you know, almost all of his bikes have crazy paint jobs so it was perfect addition to the show. There was also a large assortment of Perewitz bike on display only.

Great pictures to follow…

Burnout drag racing brings out what we love about bikers

Centered-in-smoke

August 22, 2008 (Haslett, MI)

Thankfully, BAKER Drivetrain’s big, experimental event-spectacular during Sturgis Bike Week, “The BAKER Burnout Drags” held Friday, August 8th in Sturgis was a notable success! Major bleed-over audiences from the Dierks Bentley and Staind bands at the Legendary Buffalo Chip were treated to an extra visual delight of loud, smoky, and chaotic entertainment by some our most prominent bike builders in the industry. The BAKER Burnout Drags was a simple tournament of eight contestants that would race to be the first to a 5th gear burnout, one-on-one at a time – drag race style, that is. The winner of all the heats won the contest.

Obama Never Misses An Opportunity

August 21, 2008

Hey,

I have to comment on this one. We try not to talk politics here but sometimes you gotta stand up.

Those of you who have attended Sturgis know that it isn’t easy to get there. The fact that Senator McCain took the time to show up and show us respect meant a lot to me. He took a political risk by doing it and Obama jumped right on it. McCain said he should have entered Cindy McCain in the miss Sturgis contest. Of course he was joking although Cindy ai’nt bad on the eyes. The democrats jumped on that too saying that McCain was degrading women and his wife in particular.

I want to salute senator McCain for his appearence at our rally. It was a classy thing to do and I say that bikers are the most patriotic, charitable, most supportive of any group in America. Many bikers have served in the military and many have been injured or killed. Bikers wear the American flag, display the American flag with pride.

Obama said “he is better” he said he wouldn’t take the “low” road no matter what anyone else did. I don’t think the road gets any lower than the one Senator Obama is on. Who is this freakin guy anyhow? I don’t know much about politics but I know a bottom dweller when I see one. Senator McCain spent 5 yrs. in a cage. He signed a piece of paper while they were breaking his arms and torturing him but he refused to be released as per the code. It’s first in, first out in the military and McCain spent 5 yrs. in hell.

We need to get out and vote. Vote your conscience but your vote MATTERS. Let’s make OUR VOICES HEARD.McCain showed respect to our family and now we need to show our respect for this country.

Obama: “American-made motorcycles like Harleys don’t matter to John McCain”

August 21, 2008

Obama_Joe-Raedle_GIN_200

While addressing the masses at Sturgis earlier this month, Republican presidential candidate John McCain appealed to the moto-crazy crowd by saying, “Not long ago a couple of hundred thousand Berliners made a lot of noise for my opponent. I’ll take the roar of 50,000 Harleys any day…”
