Perewitz Custom Paint Show

August 25, 2008

We had our first Perewitz Custom Paint Show sponsored by Kryptonite in Sturgis this year at Thunder Road. It was a great success. We had about 35 entries and a crowd of spectators all day, which for a first time show was great. All the entries had remarkable paint jobs. Rick Fairless had some of his creations on display. As most of you know, almost all of his bikes have crazy paint jobs so it was perfect addition to the show. There was also a large assortment of Perewitz bike on display only.

Great pictures to follow…

We had 5 judges from all over the country. The judges were all professional painters with an eye for paint! Each judge made a custom trophy for the “best” paint in each class. Along with winning a trophy they also received a spray gun from Devilbiss, a Kryptonite lock, and the pride of winning the first Perewitz Custom Paint Show.

There were creations from top builders, backyard painters and everything in between. The big winners were Deadline Customs with the best flames, Raw Iron Choppers with best candy paint, Stevenson Cycle with best old skool, Mike Owens with best pearl, Mark Irvin best use of color, Maverick Customs best artwork, El Pitts with best flake, and the big winner was Steven Kofsky with best graphics and best of show!

Next year we plan on being bigger and better! See ya Wednesday of Sturgis 2009 at Thunder Road!
