Packing For Bikefest

September 28, 2008

Hey,

Train and I are starting to pack for Vegas. We are both exhausted due to all that is going on in Washington but we hope this trip will help us relax a little.

One of the great things about the motorcycle community is that the folks are fun to be around. I doubt that anyone has not been affected by this financial crisis in one way or another but seeing our friends, seeing what art has been created at Artistry in Iron, indulging in a pop or two and just enjoying the event is a great way of refocusing and relaxing.

Scott Long, Adam Canni, Roger Goldammer and others are scheduled to be there and we always enjoy meeting people we don’t know.Pam, who has run this thing from the beggining is a friend and each year she outdoes the previous year.If you know your way around town a bit there is good food that won’t break the bank and of course the atmosphere of Bikefest and Vegas itself is fun to experience each year.

We will be taking photos ande reporting on the event and our adventures. We hope to share  all of it with you. There will be stuff posted on this website while we are gone so: stop by and enjoy it. When times get better, I am going to get me a new ride. I am seeing some very cool stuff being built and I am interested to see how the master builders of our time adapt to the realities of the time. I am going to sit down with Goldammer and ask him what he’s thinking as Roger is always one step ahead. It will be good to see him.
