Billy Lane-Will He Ever Face A Jury?

This is really unbelievable but, we report the news.
Today, Billy Lane’s trial for D.U.I. manslaughter in the Death of Gerald Morelock was postponed yet again. Because of supposed conflicts of schedule with both Lane’s attorney’s and some witnesses the trial is now scheduled to begin February 9th 2009. Yep, the Florida legal system is a joke and the taxpayers of the “sunshine” state and the Morelock family are once again being put through months of torture awaiting justice to be served.What justice you ask? It seems there is none in Florida.
To complicate matters even more Judge Allawas was defeated in her attempt at another term as judge so she will be replaced by a Judge Berger.Let’s see. It will be more than 2 1/2 years if this trial date holds and the report is that because of the defendants notoriety it will take longer than normal to select a jury.The trial itself is supposed to last two weeks.Someone needs to make a movie about this as no one would ever believe what is going on.Whether Lane is found guilty or innocent we have come to the conclusion that there is NO justice in the state of Florida. I am not sure how or why the people of Florida tolerate this display of incompetence but there are so many severe problems in this country now that I have really become a cynic about everything.This has become a mockery of the legal system and the constitution of our country.There are no more words for what I am feeling.
We will follow the case as we have from day one if I am still alive when it all comes to resolution.I’m glad I don’t live in Florida as I would have to move.

Billy Lane’s Trial Date Is Set For December

Hey,
We’re back with more news on the trial of Billy Lane for d.u.i. manslaughter.Judge Allawas has scheduled the trial to begin between Deecember 1 and December 12. She says it is a priority. There is however, as always a caceat. Billy’s attorney must be available on those dates. I don’t get it as today is the 18th of November so: the trial could begin in two weeks. It is not comprehensible to me that Lane’s attorney doesn’t know his schedule two weeks from now but, that’s what the judge said. It never ceases to amaze me how Billy’s attorney’s have led the judge and the state around by the nose. It’s been over two years and Billy has swapped attorney’s and this one has pulled the same stunt more than once. We’ll just have to wait and see.We just want it over one way or another and that justice is served. I think a lot of folks feel that way. Read more

Fort Lauderdale–November XX, 2008–The Seminole Hard Rock Roadhouse will be making its final stop for 2008 at the 21st Annual SFPC Christmas Toys in the Sun Run, touted to be the worlds longest motorcycle parade. The ride will be held Sunday, December 14, 2008, with all proceeds going to benefit the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation.
