It seems that Google has finally removed the warning from our website.Let’s see, the warning was posted on July 26th and removed on August 6th.It took awhile but at least the damn thing is gone.It is, and was always safe to come to this website.
Oh, by hte way, Google neither told us when they tagged us nor that they had removed the warning. Let’s here it for Google!!!

John McCain Speaks In Sturgis

August 4, 2008

Hey,

We usually stay neutral when it comes to politics but we had to report this. Republican Presidential candidate John McCain will speak in Sturgis today at the Buffalo Chip Campground.I think it’s very cool that a presidential candidate would deem bikers worthy of a visit. There are a lot of us and we are very patriotic. We support America, our military heroes and democracy. To be recognized as worthy of a campaign stop is quite a compliment. Senator McCain will speak around dinner time.It seems that Senator McCain is a brother.

There was an article in the N.Y. times where a lot of folks vented their hate for bikers and their culture. I can only say, Senator McCain obviously doesn’t feel the same.Bravo Senator John McCain!!!

Sturgis 2008

August 3, 2008

Hey,
Strurgis is about to begin. This rally is the arguably most important, most revered in this country.Things will be interesting as the U.S.A. is experiencing some tough economic times. No matter, the show goes on. Train and I are disappointed that we can’t make it due to injury. I have a torn retina which is about to detach if I don’t treat it immediately. I have to have surgery on my eye this week so things won’t get worse and make the situation worse. We have Emory Eyecare here which is world famous as a top eye hospital.I’ll be fine but it threw a monkey wrench in our plans. We love Sturgis. We love the opportunity to see our friends, make new ones, attend the many outstanding events and ride the gorgeous Black Hills of South Dakota. It’s a bummer for us but we will be at Las Vegas Bikefest in October which is another world class event.
This year,Dave Perewitz the “King Of Flames” will be having a show at the Thunderdome. We love Dave,Susan,Jody, the whole family and Dave is simply one of the all time greats. Michael Lichter the dean of motorcycle photography is having an exhibition of his work. We saw his show last year and it was great. There is the AMD world championship of bike builders which is a can’t miss event. There will be the Builders Breakfast. This event gives us a chance to meet and talk with over 20 of the best builder’s in the industry as well as people like Dave Nicholls of V-Twin, Sarah Liberte(photographer and builder), and other industry icons as well. The event supports the Make a Wish Foundation which is a charity for seriously ill kids. The money we raise gives them the opportunity to enjoy their fantasy’s while they can. There is the ride for Breast Cancer Awareness featuring our friend Brenda Fox which raises money to further research on this all to common problem. There will be a ride to aid the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital and the winner of the raffle will get to ride a new Big Dog Bike along with a number of kick ass builders and enthusiasts. There is a motorcycle built by Sucker Punch Sally’s which will be auctioned away. There will be some awesome music featuring people like Kiss, Kenny Chesney and John Fogerty the legendary lead of Credence Clearwater Revival. This is one of my favorite all time bands and John has had a very successful solo career.
Last, there is the opportunity to enjoy Sturgis, Deadwood, Spearfish,Rapid city and the beautiful Black Hills. We musn’t forget the Top Fifty park, the Broken Spoke Saloon all the vendors, the refreshments( yep, that too),and simply the baddest, best time motorcyle enthusiasts and insiders can have.
I want to give special recognition to Darcy Betlach. Darcy runs a motorcycle marketing company but also is instrumental in organizing a number of great events. Sturgis, The V-Twin Expo and the builder’s breakfasts in both Daytona and Sturgis to name a few.She is the daughter of Jim Betlach another pioneer in the industry.Darcy Rocks!!

Nothing Wrong With This Website 7-31-08

July 31, 2008

Hey,

Our friend Mark up in Canada ingormed us that Google has a warning about The Beachcruiser. Yes folks, as Roanne Rosanadana used to say “it’s always something”

We have ptretty sophisiticated anti-virus software on our website. It turns out according to the software. ONE PAGE some clown either sent here or was on another website had either spyware or malware on it. We REMOVED the page as soon as we were made aware. The page is GONE. It didn’t harm my computer so: I am very confident it didn’t hurt anyone else. It was a quick fix as we just removed it.

Google put a warning about our site up.They did this without informing us of a problem. The problem is FIXED and GOOGLE takes it’s own sweet time to remove the warning. It’s a joke and they should be ashamed of themselves. They said it could take up to two weeks to remove the warning which is outrageous!!! There isn’t much we can do about it but wait for them to act responsibly. We have written to them. Sorry for the inconvienence but we are very sure that there is NO DANGER to those who come here.

The Good And The Bad

July 29, 2008

Hey,

The piece we posted from the N.Y. Times on Harley Davidson seems to have gotten a lot of comments. It’s good that close to 300 people expressed opinions and not so good that a lot of them were nasty.Naturally, I had to get my 2 cents in so I wrote a comment too. We’ll post it tomorrow.

Motorcycles and bikers still seem to raise a lot of passion which is good. The fact that the N.Y. Times reports on the industry is good. The nasty comments we’ve all read and heard before. The good ones are always good to read. Welcome to America circa 2008.
