My brother recently got to know a girl. The thing is, she rides motorcycles! She also told my brother she is a member of the Harley Davidson club.
What is the Harley Davidson club? Is it a good club? It seems it has presence all over the world.
We just want to know exactly what our brother is into. What is this girl. No offense intended.
Wow! Is this what it really is? Sounds very prestigious to me!
If the group is H.O.G. It is the Harley Owners Group. Guess what you have to do to join? Buy a Harley. As more Yuppies buy Harleys the club becomes more yuppie and less biker. There are plenty of motorcycle clubs out there. Some are reputable and some are not. Some require a HD on the gas tank some do not. If you want to know the group your brother is running with first find out who they are.
H.O.G.=Harley Owners Group
This is just a bunch of people that like to associate & have a good time, that’s all.
It is called H.O.G,witch stands for, Harley’s owners group.it’s bullshit. No hard core bikers.
I’m a memberof HOG (Harley Owners Group). we have 500 members. We hold a monthly general meeting, have drawings, for prizes, and get discounts from our sponsoring HD dealership each month as well. We also salute the flag and support our country. We have 40+ club rides each year, hold a Harley Rodeo at the fairgrounds riding Harley’s instead of horses. We sponsor MDA and other charities raising thousands of dollars for them. We hold toy runs to support those in need, have several big parties and get togethers, and yes, we even ride in parades to support POW/MIA and the military in general. We also have one hell of a lot of fun. Yes, you must own a Harley to be a member. That’s the only pre requisite. We have every type of individual you can imagine in the club. From cops, to ex hard core bikers. And everything in between. And every kind of Harley from vintage to ultra touring. There are chapters in just about every country, as well as every state in the U.S., in fact some states have several chapters. I’ve been riding for 42 years, some members are first year riders. Yes, some people who don’t know what they are talking about, like to run the club down. Others just like to run other people down to try to make themselves sound like big tough bikers. I just laugh my ass off at them. Mostly just a bunch of posers. Me, I don’t care what you ride, as long as you ride. I’ve been riding since I built my first mini bike at age 10. Since then I’ve owned 26 bikes. The last 5 have all been Harley’s. But I have owned dirt bikes, enduro’s, crotch rockets, choppers, and touring bikes. Jap bikes, british bikes German bikes and U.S bikes. I ride thousands of miles every year. Many rides in excess of 1400 miles. This year alone, I already have 6 rides planned,outside the club rides, that are from 1400 to 3000 miles. At 6’3" 315 lbs, with a bald head, walrus mustache and tattoo’s, I really don’t give a dam what "image" I portray, I enjoy the club,keep my face in the wind, and have a great time. What else matters?matters?
As others have said, HOG, Harley Owners Group, which is the factory/corporate sponsored group for enthusiasts of Harley. They aren’t a gang in the Hollywood sense of a biker gang. Mostly the have meetings and events sponsored by and held at Harley dealer showrooms all over the country. If she’s a HOG member, chances are she bought a new or nearly new bike from a factory authorized dealer. This is no small item to note, a new Harley will run from eight to thirty thousand dollars, so financially, she is probably no slouch. The Harley Davidson has come out of the shadows and into the limelight, they are as valued in other countries as a Jag or a Ferrari is here.
Get to know her and don’t judge her on the single fact that she rides.
